Story
It tells the story of three very different families vying to buy the exact same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. Yes, the plot moves a little slowly, doesn’t grab you emotionally right away, and there are a lot of subplots.
I can understand how that might be off-putting for some (including my husband)
I liked it, I knew it would be worth it, and for me, it did. I grew to love all the supporting characters, loved the cast, and the variety of comedic timing and portrayal of emotions by the different actors.
But for me, the two of them had no chemistry at all, and even the kissing scene and happy ending felt forced
The only actors I didn’t like were Lisa and Ray, which was a shame because I’m actually a huge fan of Lisa and watched the show mostly for her. I didn’t like Lisa’s acting in this show (and Ray’s voice) and I think the lack of chemistry made it seem like the whole series had no focus.
However, it got better with their daughter’s appearance
And they should have been the ones holding the story together. Reading other reviews, I realized that other people judge their acting differently and I respect that, but for me, they weren’t the best possible cast.
